Christmas Cosmo – Foodie in Miami

Christmas Cosmo

Christmas Cosmo

Since it’s Christmastime and most of us are stuck at home (except you naughty boys and girls!), let’s make an easy and refreshing Holiday drink. The original drink calls for white cranberry juice, but if you use red, with green sugar, it looks quite festive. Cranberry Juice has lots of Vitamin C in it, to keep the Corona Grinch away! Thanks to Peggy Rigsby, Queen of Girl’s Weekend Cocktails, for this recipe.

Toasting to the Holidays!

Christmas Cosmo

  • 1 part Vodka, chilled
  • 2 parts cranberry juice
  • A splash of orange liqueur, like Triple Sec
  • A splash of champagne or Prosecco
  • Green sugar
  • Lime

Slice a lime and rim the juice around a martini glass. Dip the glass in green sugar. In a shaker with ice, add ingredients (except sugar and lime), shake well and strain into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime twist.

You could also garnish with a sprig of rosemary. If some of the green sugar dissolves into your drink, don’t worry. It makes a very cool effect of a layered green and red drink. What could be more festive?

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Feliz Navidad!
